8 days Marrakech Sahara desert trip starts from Marrakech to visit Ourzazate traveling through the High Atlas Mountains. It is planned to visit Merzouga and have a camel excursion to explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi were you will camp in a nomad tent. You will also visit the villages and the towns that surround the area such as the village of Khamlia and the town of Rissani. The tour includes visiting Todgha gorges, Dades Valley, the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the palm trees oases and explore the wonderful Marrakech historical monuments and interesting places such as the square of Jamma El Fnaa.

    Day1:  Arrival at Marrakech

    From the airport we will pick you up and transfer you to the Riad in the Medina after receiving a warm welcoming. It takes two few minutes walking from the Medina (the old town of Marrakech)to reach Jamma El Fnaa. In the afternoon, you will have the choice to explore Marrakech’s Medina by yourself and visit the famous square of Jamma El Fnaa. It is  where you can see visitors entertained by Snake charmers, jugglers, storytellers, dancers and many other things.

    The overnight will be spent at Riad.

    Day2: Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouat Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

    Driving a 4×4 vehicle, we will start our journey at 8.30 am. The destination we will be heading to is Ouarzazate. We will travel through the High Atlas Mountains. During our journey, we will cross the pass of Tizi N’Tichka. It is the highest pass in Morocco with an elevation 2260 meters. You will be amazed by the terrific landscapes and nature while you are making your way to your destination. You’ll also have the chance to take some pictures of the interesting Berber villages when we take some stops on the route. We will take the way that leads to Telouet Kasbah where you will have the chance to try local food in the small town at a local restaurant. The journey continues toward Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou traveling through the beautiful valley of Ounila. Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (Ksar AitBen Haddou) is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Many Hollywood movies have been shot in this very fortified Kasbah including Gladiator and The Mummy.After we finish visiting the wonderful Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, we will drive toward Ouarzazate. It is also known as the gate of the Sahara Desert.

    At a hotel you will have dinner and spend the overnight.

    Day3 : Ouarzazate – Draa Valley  – Merzouga Desert – Camel ride and night in the Berber tent

    Toward Draa Valley (where the longest river in Morocco), we will travel after having breakfast at your accommodation. The program of the third day in Morocco includes taking some stops on the to admire the wonderful landscapes, Berber villages, Kasbahs’ spectacular views, and and capture some photos. Lunch will be served in Nkob or Alinaf before we resume our journey to Merzouga dunes.The camel excursion begins from Merzouga town. The plan is riding camels toward the heart of the Sahara to camp for the overnight. In a nomad tent and under the endless beautiful stars, you will be served dinner.

    Day4 : Merzouga Desert – Nomads Families – Tisardmin Oasis – Erg Chebbi Dunes

    Enjoying the sunrise near the camp over the sand dunes of Merzouga is an amzing thing to do in the morning before we go back to Merzouga on the camelback. In Merzouga, you wil have breakfast. After that, we will go to explore the Erg Chebbi where the highest sand dunes in Morocco. They over 250 meters in elevation. The journey continues to cross the Paris-Dakars’s track. We will take a break in the wonderful Tissardim oasis where you will have the opportunity to observe the lifestyle of the nomad that live there. Leaving Tissardim, we make our way to Erg Chebbi’s entire viwpoint. The journey continues to visit the village of Khamlia where people who are originally from African countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Mali live. In this village, we will share a cup with tea with the kind people and listen to the unique and spiritual Gnawa music.

    You will enjoy a free afternoon after we drive you to your accommodation. Watching the amazing sunset over the dunes will be a great idea.

    Day5 : Merzouga Desert – Rissani Market – Erfoud Fossil’s – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

    Today, we will visit Rissani town after having breakfast having breakfast at the accommodation. Rissani is a small village where the largest traditional markets (Souks) in Morocco. The tour proceeds with visiting Erfoud. It is known for the production of fossils before we head to Touroug and Tinejdad’s wonderful palm groves. The next destination we will reach after one hour of driving is the amazing Todra Gorges where the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco.  They are series of limestone river canyons. It is one of the favorite directions of climbers.In Todra Gorges, we will take enough time to admire the wonderful landscapes of the area after having lunch. The next place we will visit Dades Valley. On the way, we will stop to visit the wonderful rock formation Monkey Legs. You will have dinner and spend the overnight in Dades gorges.

    Day6 : Dadés  Valley  – Palm Groves of Skoura – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

    Today, we will apprecioate the amzing views and landscapes of Dades Valley from a top strategic point after having breakfast. You will enjoy the watching the sandcastles that are located in Dades Valley. Leaving Dades Valley, we will travel through the Road of Thousand Kasbahs where we will stop to enjoy the area. After the Valley of Roses and the large Skoura’s palm groves, we will arrive at Ouarzazate to have a visit to the wobderful Kasbah of Tourirt. Visiting the international Film Studios and the Cinema Museum is optional. You’ll have a free time in the afternoon to have lunch at one of the local restaurants in the town. On our way back to Marrakech, we will travel through the pass of Tizi N’Tichka take some breaks during the joueney to capture some beautiful pictures of the wonderful views and landscapes. Around 6 pm, we will arrive at Marrakech were you will spend the overnigh at a hotel.

    Day 7: Visit to the Medina and Marrakech Historical Monumentsat. Sightseeing.

    The seventh day of eight days Marrakech Sahara Desert Trips will be devoted to visit Marrakech’s interesting monuments and sites. After the great and the ancitent walls of the Medina, we will vsit the Kotoubia Minerat. It is Giralad’s twin in Seville. The journey proceeds with visiting the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Majorelle Gardens etc. After that, we will head to Jamaa El Fnaa large square. In the evening, you will take a walk exploring Medina’s alleys and Souks.

    day 8: Marrakech – Airport

    You will be transfered to the airport depending on departure time after having breakfast. At the airport, our services come to an end.
