Share 5-day route from Marrakech to Merzouga desert with group
(5 days / 4 nights)
Day 1: Marrakech Airport – Hotel in Marrakech city – Free time.
You will be met at the Marrakech Airport and then taken by the driver/guide to the Hotel in Marrakech (15 minutes), which is located meters from the Jemma el Fna square (medina), main tourist spot of Marrakech.

– At the airport you connect to Wifi and send message, buy your chip inside the airport and recharge your internet to contact us outside the airport.
– Exchange your money to local currency (dirham) or 5 minutes from your hotel there is currency exchange/ exchange for your convenience.
– The driver/guide will be waiting for you in the outside area of the airport with the sign “Morocco Explore Tours”.
When you leave the airport of Marrakech, you will find yourself in the second largest city in the country, located in the central region of Morocco at the foot of the Atlas Mountains.
Once in town, you’ll find a multitude of things to do and see. Jemaa el-Fna square, in the center of the old city (medina), is a vibrant and lively place with street artists, snake charmers, food stalls and more.
And of course, Moroccan cuisine is famous all over the world, so be sure to try some of the local dishes such as chicken or lamb tagine, couscous or harira, a traditional Moroccan soup. There are many restaurants in the city that serve authentic and delicious dishes.

Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Valley of the Roses – Gorges of Dades. 330km
On the second day, departure of this group desert trip at 07:40, crossing the mountains of the High Atlas (2260m) through the port of Tizi N’Tichka with panoramic views. A mountainous mountain range that separates the plains of Marrakech from the Sahara desert.

Continuation south, leaving on a 6 km trail that will take us to the village of La Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit its Kasbah (declared World Heritage by UNESCO). In this spectacular setting, renowned films were filmed and Gladiator or the Jewel of the Nile, you can stroll through the narrow streets of dirt and visit some of the traditional houses, which are still inhabited. lunch in the village and then to Ouarzazate.
This city considered the gateway to the great desert is an important center of cinema and television, with several studios and film sets. You can visit the Kasbah Taourirt, an ancient palace that was once the residence of the governor of the region.
The trip continues through the Valley of Roses and M’gona, a region famous for the production of roses and the manufacture of perfumes and beauty products. There you can visit a local cooperative and learn about the production process of these products.
We continue until we reach the Dades gorges passing through Skoura, a series of narrow and deep gorges carved by the Dades river. We arrived in the afternoon at our hotel in Dades.
Day 3: Gorges of the Dades – Gorges of the Todra – Jorf – Erfoud – Merzouga (camel tour and night in the desert). 265km
On the 3rd day of your trip in Morocco, after breakfast and visiting Dades, we will start a road dotted with Kasbah and oases of dates, all very different from each other and after several stops, we will arrive at one of the strong points of the south: the Gorges of Todra which are about 1h30 drive from Dades.
The Todra Gorges are another set of impressive canyons with rocky walls up to 300 meters high, formed by the Todra river. It is a paradise for climbers and a unique place Here, you can take a walk through the gorge to enjoy the landscape and take some amazing photos.
We continue our route to the berber family (henna tattoo and typical clothes for free photography) and free lunch and continuation of our desert trip until we reach the impressive Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga, where we will have a tea of hospitality while we rest a little. All your bags and backpacks will be taken by car, take valuables with you and we will start the camel tour for an hour that will take us to the luxury camp with luxury tents with bathroom and indoor shower with dinner included and local music. We will make a stop in the middle of the road to see the sunset over the dunes and stretch our legs a little before continuing the trip to the camp, where we will have another hospitality tea before dinner and we will have the opportunity to climb the dunes that are near the camp, to discover shooting stars and make wishes, night in the desert.
This unique desert experience is one of the top attractions in Morocco and will surely be one of the highlights of your trip.
Day 4: Merzouga – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech. 595km
Early in the morning we got up to admire the other enchanting view of the sunrise and then the desert experience. After breakfast, we will ride a camel to return and start the way back to Marrakech. There will be stops every 1:30 for bathing and rest. Then, we will pass through the Berber villages and make a stop for lunch around 2 pm. Then we will return to Marrakech through the High Atlas mountains. We will arrive in Marrakech around 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Day 5: Free time – Transfer to the airport of Marrakech.
Depending on flight time, transfer to airport 3 hours before your flight and the end of our 5 days route from Marrakech to Merzouga desert with group.
