Day 1: Marrakesh – Ait Benhaddou – Gorge Dades.

You will be kindly kindly welcomed in Marrakech before we make our way to Ouarzazate. Ouarzazate is also known as Sahara’s gateway. It is located on the Atlas Mountains’ eastern foothills. On our way, we will travel through the amazing landscapes and natural views of the Atlas Mountains, the pass of Tiz N’Tichka (2260m high over the Grand Atlas Mountains), Taddert’s Berber town. We will stop to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (30km away from Ouarzazate town). It is one of the wonderful fortified and Kasbahs in Morocco. Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou is also one of the UNESCO world legacy sites.  After having lunch in the Ait Ben Haddou’s village, we will drive to visit Dades Gorges through Ouarzazate (the Hollywood of Africa). The journey goes through the Road of Thousand Kasbahs where you will see the astonishing sandcastles. Before we reach our destination, we will stop in Kalaat Mgouna. It is also called the Valley of Roses where the festival of roses is held every year in May. After we arrive at Dades Gorges, we will check into a hotel in the heart of the gorges.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Sahara Merzouga (camel ride)

After we have breakfast at the accommodation, we will explore the area visiting the amazing rock formation (the monkey toes), and Ait Yul’s Kasbah (19th-century Kasbah). Towards Tinghir and Todra Valley we will be leaving. In Todra Valley, you will admire the fascinating and the panoramic views of the gorges (the highest and the narrowest in Morocco). You will enjoy a stroll under 300 meters high cliffs. The gorges of Todra are one of the favorite places for rock climbers. We proceed with our journey to Erfoud and the townRissani where we will have lunch. Merzouga is our destination after that. Camel excursion starts from Merzouga. Guided by an experienced man, you will ride camels to Erg Chebbi’s sand-sea to camp in the middle of the desert. With all the necessary materials, you will spend the night at a nomadic tent where dinner will be served. On the way, you will enjoy the amzing sand dunes over the sand dunes. Under the wonderful and endless stars, you will spend the overnight.

Day 3: Merzouga erea – culture and tradition

Today is devoted to explore the area opf Merzoufa. You will visit the village of Khamila where Gnawa people live. In this old village, yuou will observe people’s lifestyle and culture. You will have the opportunity to listen to the spiritual Gnawa music. After that, we drive to a lake near Merzouga where different kinds of birds live such as Flamingos. The jpourney continues to visit Rissani. This small town was named Sijil Massa before. Rissani used to be a place where caravans from different African countries meet and trade. It also has the largset and dynamic Souks (traditional markets) in Morocco. You will have a Berber Pizza, Medfouna, for lunch before you go back to your accommodation in Merzouga. After having a well prepared Saharan mint tea, we will take a camel trek to camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. The sand dunes of Erg Chebbi are the highest in North Africa. The camp is provided with matresses,, linen, restaurant and a kitchen. In the tent, you will be served dinner and enjoy listening to Berber drums being played near the camp.

Day 4: Merzouga – Valley ziz – Medilt – Ifran – Fes.

In the morning, we will ride camels back to Merzouga. After that, we will begin our journey heading to Fez through Errachidia and the carved volcanic rock Ziz Valley. The journey continues through Middelt and Azrou. In the Middle Atlas Mountains the Berber village of Arou is located. The next place we will visit is Cedar Forest where Berber apes live. It is the considerd the largest wood-land in Morocco. Before we reach Fez, we will also travel through the beautiful Ifrane city where we will stoip to take some pictures and have a drink.
