Trip Overview

We will palce at the highest peak in Morocco (4500 meters) and north Africa. It is named Toubkal and located in the High Atlas Mountains. After that we visit Tahanout. It is a small village where the Souk (traditional market) is held twice a week (Saturday and Tuesday). It is an opportunity for farmers and people of the region to meet and buy what they need. Later on, we will visit Ghaghia Wadi’s through before we head to Asni. It is considered macro crystaline amethysr’s and Ourigan’s valley country (it is also nicknamed the valley of happiness).

1. Tahnaout Village

  • Quick stop to visit a local argan oil cooperative run by Berber women

  • Learn how argan oil is produced and enjoy a tea ceremony

2. Asni Valley & Berber Souk (Saturdays only)

  • Explore a local village market with colorful produce, spices, and crafts

  • Ideal for a culturally immersive experience

3. Imlil Village (Base of Mount Toubkal)

  • Starting point for many hikes and treks

  • Optional 1- to 2-hour guided walk to nearby villages and waterfalls

  • Meet locals and learn about the traditional Berber lifestyle

4. Lunch with a View

  • Enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in a Berber house or mountain lodge

  • Dishes may include tagine, couscous, fresh bread, and mint tea
